Grab any text
on your screen.
Press ⇧⌘6, drag over anything, and copy the text in it — or the image. That's it.
How to test
- Install. Open the DMG and drag Screenie into Applications.
- Allow it once. This beta isn't notarized, so macOS will block the first launch. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway.
- Take a capture. Press ⇧⌘6 and allow Screen Recording when asked. If nothing happens afterwards, quit and reopen Screenie.
- Try it. Drag over some text. ⌘C copies the text, Return copies the image. The first launch needs about a minute before text is ready.
